Welcome
Pikes Peak or Bust!
Since 1859, Pikes Peak—America's Mountain—has drawn adventurers, fortune-seekers, and pioneers in search of a new life. When these first settlers arrived, largely from the Midwest and East Coast, they found the native Ute tribe—the Blue Sky People, as they called themselves—who used the area as a place of respite and healing. Spanish settlers had also arrived several generations earlier. All these diverse people called this stunningly beautiful region home. |
